“I am awfully greedy; I want everything from life. I want to be a woman and to be a man, to have many friends and to have loneliness, to work much and write good books, to travel and enjoy myself, to be selfish and to be unselfish… You see, it is difficult to get all which I want. And then when I do not succeed I get mad with anger.”- Simone de Beauvoir

One of the main reasons why I chose to declare my major in Hospitality & Tourism Management is because I want to see the world. Ever since I was younger, I have had this strong desire to travel and to experience everything that I can. The world is far too large to stay in one place; there are too many places to see and too many people to meet.

Although I have only traveled across the United States and have yet to make my way to Europe, it is my plan to go backpacking upon graduation. Before I emerge myself into a future career, I want to take some time off to travel for pleasure. Yes, I will be traveling with whatever future career I choose, but traveling for leisure is much more fufilling than traveling for business.

With each place I visit, I plan to take many photographs. This way, I can document every experience so I can reflect on it later in life, like a story book, and smile at my journey.
