Shannon Morley
I am a Metis woman, a writer working to close the gap of aboriginal participation and influence in mainstream culture. It's a partnership we have only begun to develop.
I am an administrative guru by profession. I pay attention to details and the people I meet.
I like to work and play with people who make a difference in my community. I am the webmaster for STR8UP : 10,000 little steps to healing (www.str8-up.ca). STR8UP is an organization born from gang members who wanted a way out of the pain of gang life and with help from a dedicated chaplain, they created a process. Members at all stages in their journey share the hope and example of a good life, an exit from gang life. They do good work. I am one of their many, many friends.
