Born on the coast of South Korea and raised in Anchorage, I'm a lifelong Alaskan with a kimchi twist. I live to eat adventurously, meet new people, and learn about different cultures and places. I'm passionate about reconnecting with my food heritage, as well as the soil it was grown in. My day job is the Public Information Office for the Anchorage Department of Health and Human Services, but I also freelance around food and culture issues and am co-founder of the Anchorage Food Mosaic, a project to build a healthy food system for all Alaskans.
