Shannon’s fascination with the Criminal Justice system started at a young age. While other little girls were reading Little House on the Prairie, Shannon could be found with her nose stuck in books such as Helter Skelter and The Onion Field. Her interest in crime and the worst monsters our society has to offer followed her well into her adulthood.

In 2004, Shannon obtained her dual Associate of Science Degree in Legal Research and Criminal Justice. She then continued her education, graduating Valedictorian of her class with a dual Bachelors of Science in Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice, with a specialty in forensic investigations and crime scene analysis in 2008. Her dual Masters in Forensic Psychology and Forensic Investigation remains a work in progress.

Today, she is a true crime writer and owner of the renown (or should I say notorious) website UmbrellaofSuspicion.com and runs UoS, a thriving community on Facebook. Shannon also freelances as a crime scene and investigative consultant for various Private Investigators throughout the US. As a fledgling author, she is working on her first true crime book.

In her very spare time, Shannon enjoys listening to 80’s metal really loud, Shotokan Karate, DIY projects, rock hounding, a good dirty joke, feeding her addiction to Converse shoes, collecting all things Batman, visiting her family and friends in Humboldt County California, and a sarcastic turn of phrase over a cup of coffee with friends.

Shannon resides close to the beautiful Puget Sound in Washington State with her husband of 17 years, her kids, her spoiled little dogs, and a black cat simply known as “The Boss”.

Warning

Shannon is also known for her dark and twisted sense of humor, tell it like it is nature, don’t give a shit attitude, and as a disdainful rebel of all things considered politically correct.

If you are politically sensitive and easily offended…You have been warned.
