Latest curiosity .... What if man’s journey from birth to death is merely the equivalent of an unfertilized egg going through the fertilization process? Would that mean that each step of our journey in continuous transition is just a single moment in a larger sense of what a “lifetime” is? If so would that mean that we are truly “pollinating and cross-pollinating” our world and our “lifetime” with every experience we are capable of perceiving and processing? Wonder what the butterfly stage might look like. Is it possible that the universe is just such a “butterfly”?
I am a multi-sensory artist and author working from Central Alberta, using fractals and reflective language to express a vision of the world seldom seen or thought of. I've always seen the world from a different perspective, I just didn't know it. Conjoined senses will do that for you.
The world you live in is described to you by your senses and experiences, mine tell a slightly different story. In my world the borders between senses blur. My words are designed to help the reader cross sensory borders into the unfathomable to describe the still ordinary. The stories and art are reflections of a world in which sound is a palette of colour, texture, shape and taste. Senses are meant to be wallowed in. Do you know where your world ends and the one your senses inhabit begins? My art and practice are an exploration of this question on the basest of levels.
