SHANNON CASEY*
Born and raised in the suburbs outside of Boston, Shannon attended Hampshire College, a small, experimental liberal arts school in Amherst, MA. Rather than follow a traditional course of study, Shannon formed her own academic concentration, consisting primarily of creative writing and theatre. She completed coursework in journalism, playwriting, literature, memoir, and theatre performance. In 2007 Shannon joined Hampshire's longest-running comedic improv troupe, now known as "The Natural Disaster Club". That same year, Shannon became co-head of the troupe and she continued training and performing with The Natural Disaster Club for the next three years.
Shannon's studies culminated in the writing and performance of her senior thesis, a comedic, autobiographical one-woman show titled Grandpa's Dead- Now Go Do Your Laundry. She graduated from Hampshire in 2010 with a bachelor of arts degree and has since moved to Charlotte, NC, to pursue inevitable fame and glory as a copywriter.
