Shannon P Murphy

The motto of Murphy Mining & Exploration, LLC, is “The Power of Positive Mining.” President and CEO Shannon P. Murphy stands behind that statement by safely exploring and developing new mines, and rehabilitating existing mining systems without negatively impacting the environment. With more than 200 years of combined mining experience, Shannon P. Murphy and his team profitably develop mines in the United States and abroad. Presently, Mr. Murphy is working in the Pikes Peak region of Colorado, bringing the Providence gold mine into production.

Shannon P. Murphy started working in the mining sector as a young adult, beginning as a hard rock Miner for Gold Fields Ltd. in the Kloof, East and West Driefontein, Doornfontein, Libanon and Venterspost gold mines. Later, Mr. Murphy worked as Manager and Director of numerous projects, including shaft sinking, hard rock, high-speed development tunneling, and support for South African-based and foreign companies like De Beers Consolidated Mines; JCI Ltd.; FSG Group; Vaal Reefs Exploration & Mining Co., Ltd.; Gold Fields Ltd.; and Western Deep Levels GM Co. Shannon P. Murphy and his family owned and operated 1 of the largest raise boring fleets in the world, and completed more than 30 mine contracts in a span of 10 years.

Shannon P. Murphy is the President and CEO of Rocky Mountain Alternative Technologies Inc., and International Director of Terra Moya Aqua Inc. Mr. Murphy is also the President and CEO of Murphy Mining International, LLC; Murphy Mining South Africa Ltd.; Power Coal, LLC; Caldera Rim Mining Company, LLC; and Providence Mining, LLC. He is the Director of Gold States Mining Corporation, Inc., as well.

Shannon P. Murphy is married and has six children. He is a retired and honorably discharged veteran of the South African Defense Force 72 Brigade, 7th Division.
