Shannon Reed

Hello, my name is Shannon Reed and I am a native of San Francisco, Ca. I have a bachelor’s degree in business administration and I am currently working on my masters in New Media and Journalism at Full Sail University.

While working on my undergraduate degree, I was active on my school’s S.I.F.E. (students in free enterprise) team. This program allowed me to develop strong presentation and public speaking skills. I enjoyed presenting facts and new information to the different companies and boards that are school worked with.

Also, while pursuing my undergraduate degree, I had the opportunity to host my own radio show. Due to the popularity, we were asked to continue the show the following semester. In addition to my radio show, I was a color analyst for the men’s basketball games that streamed online and on the campus radio station.

Upon graduation, I was working for Louis Vuitton as a client service specialist. Although I was making a decent living I felt as though I could be doing more. During my free time at work, I found myself constantly surfing the web to see what was trending in the media; thus, I discovered my passion for the media. After researching several master’s programs, I felt Full Sail was the best fit for me.

I come from a family of strong women. The women of my family have set a great example by educating themselves and becoming successful in there choice field. I strive to not only to set example for the younger generation of my family, but to inspire young women that hope to have a career in the media field one day. I plan on using my future success as a platform to give back to my community.
