✭ Shannon Taylor Hodnett is an Oklahoma girl gone south...all the way to the beautiful beaches of Galveston, Texas. She lives with her husband, Jeff—a writer with a day job…..her son, Jack—a handsome young man who works alongside Jeff as part of the greatest sales team in Texas—also an avid collector of retro & Japanese video games.

〜The furry faction of her family includes two handsome tomcats, Malfoy & Cassius—one super-sweet Pit Bull mix, Tug—one brilliant Chihuahua, Suki, and one crazy, but lovey Jack-a-huahua pup named Moxie—and they all surely must love each other somewhere deep, deep, down in their sweet & furry little hearts!

〜Following her freshman year at the University of Oklahoma, she abandoned college life for the lucrative pull of waitressing.

〜One day—inspired by family and watching an Armed Forces episode of Family Feud—she decided to join the military. After working at the DC Naval Shipyards, the Navy Museum warehouse, & with the museum curator, her military career was cut way too short. Shannon was diagnosed with a rare, incurable kidney disorder and medically, but honorably, discharged.

〜Over the next two decades, she met and married her other half, Jeff (also a Sailor!)…gave birth to their amazing son, Jack…and received a shiny new kidney from the best kid-sister ever, Robin. ♥

〜With this new chance at life, and an appreciation for everything and everyone around her, Shannon rediscovered a passion for writing. She persevered doubts and frustration to complete and publish her first novel—now she's writing the sequel, along with several other projects.

✭Shannon has always known writing is her passion. There's an overflow of titles on her to-be-written list...so many stories waiting to be told. She will tell them all, refusing to put down her pen until the last page of her own life story is turned.
