Shannon is an accomplished violinist and educator with extensive performing experiences as a soloist and in an ensemble.

With a passion for both performance and pedagogy, Shannon brings a wealth of experience to her dual roles as a violin instructor and musician. Born and raised in Santa Clara, she began playing violin at age seven with an array of teachers but discovered a love for orchestral and chamber music. She studied with Brynn Albanese at California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo where she participated in chamber music and the Cal Poly Symphony. Shannon has experience performing in orchestras, chamber ensembles, and as a soloist. She is currently the concertmaster of the San José State University symphony orchestra. As a teacher, Shannon applies the same techniques and learning methods she used towards her students and molds every lesson to best fit the needs of the student. Her goal is to inspire others through her dedication to the art of violin playing and to contribute meaningfully to the musical community. She also has experience coaching small ensembles and sectionals.

Shannon earned her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance at San José State University under the tutelage of Dr. Catalina Barraza where she is currently a Master’s of Performance student. She maintains an active teaching studio where she works with students of all ages and skill levels, fostering technical proficiency, musical expression, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
