I exist to create lasting change to communities living in poverty through collaboration and innovation. I take an empathetic approach through common understanding to work with these communities that have a fighting and dignified spirit. These communities often struggle with having enough resources to support themselves, which means a lack of purpose and identity.

This however doesn’t have to be a life sentence. Imagine if we can empower communities to stand on their own two feet by working together to create lasting change. By investing in ideas and people through a holistic mindset, the sentence of poverty can be overcome.

I’m dedicated to using my gifts of optimist, thoughtfulness and compassion to change livelihoods. Vulnerable communities can be strong communities and will prosper.

I believe that I must be empathetic to those that need me the most. It is the lottery of life that separates what seems like two different worlds for the vulnerable and the safe or well off. By taking an empathetic approach, I can continue to listen to the stories of people and relate to their dreams, aspirations and needs. Through having belief human potential, I can start to work on ideas and projects that are game changing.

I must start to embrace globalization, embrace stories and embrace each other’s problems as my own. Only then can I learn to invest in my world, create lasting change and ensure prospering future generations. By doing all of this, I vow to always stretch my arms and give a hand so that communities will have every chance of breaking the cycle of poverty.
