I am Shanta, a multidisciplinary researcher and AI executive with 15+ years of experience at the intersection of deep tech, business innovation, and large-scale product leadership across healthcare, financial services and enterprise software. With a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.Tech. in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur, I’ve built and led cross-functional teams that delivered scalable solutions in regulated and data-intensive environments.

As the Founder & CTO of STEM Lending, I built a consumer-first digital mortgage platform from the ground up. Focused on enhancing transparency and access for first-time homebuyers in the U.S., we achieved top quartile customer satisfaction scores on Zillow and developed AI-driven mortgage comparison models for informed and faster mortgage origination. STEM Lending became a trusted resource for navigating complex mortgage journeys.
