Shantel Gunter
Aloha, bonjour, hola, kon’nichiwa, howdy, and hello! My name is Shantel, and I am a junior at the University of Washington, Seattle studying the art of communications in combinational with the beauty of the Spanish language and the culture that accompanies it. I have a very fun, exciting, and BUSY life with 2 jobs and attending school full time. In my free time, I enjoy spending my days outside going hiking, I am an avid taste-tester of the variety of samples at Costco, I love visiting with my family and loved ones, or I simply like using my knowledge as a music minor to sing my heart out while watching my favorite Disney movies on Netflix, as I am truly young at heart.
I am a passionate person, and put my all into everything I do. I try to always keep a positive and cheerful attitude, no mater what the situation, and I embrace challenges, problem-solving whenever necessary. My family and I love to travel and see all that the world has to offer. At 21 years young, I have sailed on 4 cruises to more than 10 islands in the Caribbean, visited the exotic country of Belize in Central America, swam with dolphins in Cozumel, Mexico, biked down Mount Haleakala in Maui, Hawaii, and traveled through more than half of the beautiful states in the United States of America. In the future, I hope to continue traveling, and being involved in marketing and management through this passion.
Currently, I work as an Usher at the University of Washington's Meany Hall and I am a waitress at The Rainforest Cafe, both contributing to my vast knowledge of customer service. I am hoping to find an internship that deals with either management or event planning in the hospitality and travel industry because much of my life has dealt with travel. I plan on graduating from the University of Washington in June of 2016. An athlete, a friend, a group member, a leader, a self-starter, and an approachable person, I am always up for an adventure and love to meet anyone with a positive attitude and a goal to make a good impact on the world we live in.
