I am Shantih Coro, a dedicated performance nutritionist with over 30 years of experience in the fitness and sports industry. My journey began with a passion for combat sports, competing in French Kickboxing (Savate) and Muay Thai, I also trained in Jeet Kune Do with Paul Vunak, and later transitioning to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). This lifelong involvement in combat sports led me to discover a profound passion for sports nutrition and academia.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with numerous fighters, including UFC fighter Thiago Silva, European Thai Boxing Champions, and various professional fighters across several disciplines. Additionally, I have worked with professional athletes in other sports. My experience extends to providing remote sports nutrition coaching services for professional athletes aiming to improve their performance and recovery, and I often accompany professional fighters during their fight week to make sure they arrive to the weight in in the healthiest and safest way possible. I am an active member and participant in prestigious conferences such as ISSN, AND, and NSCA, staying at the forefront of sports nutrition advancements.
I hold a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of North Florida, an M.S. in Exercise Science and Sports Nutrition from the University of Tampa, and I am currently pursuing my second M.S. in Sports Nutrition at the University of Real Madrid. I am also working towards obtaining the prestigious CISSN certification, the most important credential in the sports nutrition field. My professional certifications include ISSA Sports Nutrition, Precision Nutrition Level 1, and more.
I specialize in sports nutrition for professional athletes, particularly in combat sports, contributing to their well-being, performance, and recovery.
