I am in the M.Ed. Instructional Technology program at USF
I completed my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at the University of Tampa in Tampa, FL in May 2013. I have now moved back home and am currently a 3rd grade teacher at Flora Ridge Elementary School in Kissimmee, FL.
Teachers are the vital key to emerging technology literacy in our students. Thus, they must have access to up-to-date technology and applicable training, technical support to take advantage of, as well as, technological competence and an ability to support students use of technology effectively. Technology is an instrument to aid teachers in several ways from presenting lessons in new vibrant ways. Teacher can use technology to collaboration with colleagues or specialists, to evaluating different students' needs to provide them with the correct learning environment. In addition, technology severs as a way to observe student development, to providing students with the resources to become better problem solvers and independent learners.
Overall, my goal is to use my knowledge on technology and deliver it to several school districts, schools, and teachers. I will offer resources and training teachers to integrate technology into curriculum and teaching, support the students by preparing them to earn technology and industry certifications, and selecting appropriate software to enhance the learning of all students. While in the program I plan to take four courses each semester, not including summer semester.
