Dr. Sharad P. Paul was born England, and grew up in India. He runs a busy medical practice specializing in skin cancer surgery. Dr. Paul is a Senior Lecturer in Skin Cancer Surgery at the Universities of Queensland, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand. He is a Director of the Baci Group that includes Baci Cosmetologie, an innovative skin care company. In 2003 he was awarded a ‘Health Innovation Award’ by the New Zealand Government. In 2012 he received the highest honour awarded by the Medical Association, 'The Chair's Award' and was a finalist for the 'New Zealander of the Year' award. Dr Sharad P. Paul also holds a Masters in Medical Law from the University of Glasgow, serves on the National Commission of UNESCO, and teaches creative writing to disadvantaged children. In 2008, he was featured in TIME magazine in an article titled ‘Open Heart Surgeon.’ Named ‘Renaissance Man’ by Canvas magazine, and ‘Polymath’ by Good magazine.
