Privileged Registered Nurse who has attended thousands of births! During my career I have enjoyed the opportunity to administer nursing care to pregnant & laboring women, healthy and challenged infants, families of all shapes and sizes. Have had the honor of working with families in the Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery (NICU), while caring for their infants.
I am a Promoter of Family Centered Infant Developmental Care & Handling! For 7 years I worked in the NICU environment as an Infant Developmental Specialist, an observor of infants as a Newborn Individulaized Developmental Care and Assessment Program (NIDCAP) Professional.
Over the years I have been blessed to find great teachers for many topics from Gluten & Dairy Free Food Preparation to Infant Developmental Care & Handling & Infant Massage, now I love to pass the knowledge on to others. My plans are to make more time to write as I love to develop community resource manuals as well as educational materials for lay & professional audiences to help others learn to create optimal health in their own lives, it is all about the passing of knowledge, the will to use the knowledge while creating a new and vibrant you!
From L& D Nursing, NICU, Out Patient Hem/Onc, to providing clinical support for a national sales team, I have had the opportunity to do classroom presentation, design & record video demonstrations; Skype; powerpoint presentaions with voice over recordings. During my travels I have completed process flow observations performed during on-site clinical evaluations with recommendations and solutions offered to promote optimal work flow.
I am comfortable with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and Powerpoint design.
My favorite areas of interest: team building, healthy work life balance, positive organizational cultures, critical stress debriefing and safe space. Interested in all aspects of creating optimal health through the use of allopathic & traditional medicine & nutrition. Looking towards a future in which functional medicine is basis for the main health care delivery system.
