I am a full-time student at Syracuse University currently working toward a B.S. in Computer Engineering. I was born in Norfolk, VA but spent most of my life in Brewerton, New York. An optimal career for me would be designing hardware devices and writing drivers for them.
I have a strong interest in embedded systems and software programming. At Syracuse, I am involved in a technical engineering association known as IEEE. By helping my friends and family fix their computers over the years I eventually learned computer repair and obtained a CompTIA certification as a repair technician.
Other than computer hardware and software I look to expand my skills in the Information and Technology field. I was fortunate enough to work with the university's wireless networking department where I conducted 300+ hours on a wireless and cellular signal analysis project. The project ultimately contributed to improving safety and signals across the campus which is critical in cases of emergencies. This experience improved my time management, documentation and professional presentation skills. I also did a two month internship at Shoregroup in Syracuse, NY. During that internship I worked alot with cisco routers and assisted network engineers and TAC.
This summer I will be working with GE Energy where I will most likely be working with control systems, and further strengthen my professional engineering abilities.
