Sharif Mahdavian began his career in the financial services industry in 2005, serving as associate director in the Standard & Poor’s Structured Finance Department. In the wake of the financial crisis, he updated post-crisis due diligence and representation and warranty criteria, evaluated credit and market risk exposures. Serving in increasingly senior roles at Standard & Poor’s, including senior positions of director and analytical manager, Sharif Mahdavian established himself as a thought leader in the structured finance department with his deep knowledge of residential mortgage backed securities, regulatory due diligence, and market structures. Promoted to managing director in 2013, and analytical leader in 2014, he worked alongside major financial institutions and governmental and regulatory organizations. He left Standard & Poor’s in 2015.

Between 2015 and late 2016, Mr. Mahdavian served as vice president of LenderLive Network Inc., a mortgage service company. In this position he oversaw business development and regulatory issues for the firm, drawing on his prior experience in risk management and due diligence. Further, he was actively involved in regulatory initiatives such as TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure implementation as a member of the Structured Finance Industry Group.

An alumnus of Dartmouth College, Mr. Mahdavian holds a BA. He earned his JD from Fordham University School of Law.
