I graduated from Emperor's College with my Masters in Traditional Oriental Medicine in December 2014 and am now a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of California. I spent my first year working as a full-time acupuncturist at Tobin Holistic Medicine. In June 2016, I began my own practice in the Inland Empire at Empire Acupuncture.

I spent most of my life in my hometown of Reno, Nevada and I never appreciated what it had to offer until I moved to the Los Angeles area for graduate school. Nevada is home to some of the most wonderful outdoor space our great country has to offer. Granted, Nevada is a dry, hot desert, but if you know where to go, you'll find breathtaking beauty and interesting history. I try to get back a few times a year, mostly to go camping with my family where we play with our off-road toys and landsailers.

I moved to the Los Angeles area during the last few days of 2010, just one week before starting the Master of Traditional Oriental Medicine (MTOM) program at Emperor's College in Santa Monica. The material was challenging and I am continually eager to learn more. My studies were divided into four basic sections: Oriental Medicine, Western Medicine, Herbology, and Acupuncture.

I am currently spending much of my time taking continuing education classes in Functional Medicine. Finding deficiencies in the body and using natural supplements to make meaningful changes that help people feel better.

In my spare time I like to be active. I do indoor cycling, kettlebell, Hyperwear Sandbell, boot-camp, and much more . I love fitness so much that in 2013 I started teaching several different platforms of fitness including cycle, kettlebell, TRX, and Sandbell. I also like to ride my beach cruiser through the Inland Empire and run. I've been a long distance runner for over 10 years, having completed two full marathons (26.2 miles), seven half marathons (13.1 miles) and four 200-ish mile relays. I also enjoy nature; spending time outdoors, hiking and camping. My other passions include cooking and eating nutritious food as well as spending as much time as I can with animals.
