With a background in engineering, entrepreneurship, and economic development, I've dedicated the past 25 years to building innovative technology solutions, nurturing emerging entrepreneurs, mentoring youth, supporting community development initiatives, fostering innovation partnerships, advocating for social causes, and spearheading specialized talent advancement programs. Utilizing my proficiency in people management, process optimization, system implementation, and operational leadership, I am primarily interested in working with impact minded organizations & individuals to orchestrate effective growth strategies. With a proven history of navigating intricate projects, enhancing organizational efficiency, and cultivating innovation, I naturally gravitate towards initiatives seeking sustainable growth and operational excellence.

At the Ottawa Community Foundation (OCF), where I serve as the VP of Operations, I leverage my extensive management and leadership experience as well as my expertise in entrepreneurship, economic development, technology, and talent engagement to support our people, processes, and projects. I still work on selective projects through OAK, a strategic consulting and software development firm I co-founded in 2007. At OAK, my principal focus is to support local community projects, especially those bringing strength to small businesses and non-profits.

In addition, I contribute as a partner at Innovation by Design (IBD), an Ottawa-based design agency committed to equipping clients with innovative design thinking tools and methods for sustainable, impactful outcomes. My previous venture, AirLoop, pioneered an innovative customer engagement and loyalty platform tailored to storefront businesses.

Outside of my professional endeavors, I'm deeply involved with various non-profits and charities. I serve as a Trustee with Kiva Zip, as a Strategic Advisor with Mindtrust Leadership and Junior Achievements Ottawa, and as a Charter Member with TiE Global.

I'm characterized by curiosity, strategic thinking, honesty, humility, and generosity, and I am committed to fostering meaningful connections, collaboration, and co-creation to drive positive change in our communities and beyond.

Over the years, I have worked closely with a host of entrepreneurship and innovation programs, including Foundry Program, University of Ottawa Entrepreneurship & Innovation Endowment fund, Wes Nicol Business Plan Competition, Tech Venture Challenge (TVC), Ottawa Innovation Challenge, Ottawa Community Challenge, The Ottawa Experience, Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF), Hire Immigrants Ottawa (HIO) and Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE).
