Sharon Burke has almost 20 years experience as a news Photojournalist.
Sharon reported in tropical storm Irene, blizzards and on the aftermath of tornadoes that touched down in Bridgeport, Connecticut and Springfield, Massachusetts. Sharon was one of the first Connecticut photojournalists on the scene of the Boston Marathon Bombings-- providing live reports near Boylston Street in Boston as events unfolded.
Prior to working at NBC Connecticut, Sharon was a news Photojournalist at FOX CT. Currently, she is a Media Production Specialist at Quinnipiac University and teaches as a college adjunct instructor.
Sharon holds a Master's Degree in Communication from the University of Hartford and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Franklin Pierce University.
