Sharon Rice has been a non profit professional for 11 years. She began her career in child welfare and worked as a therapists for children and youth in therapeutic foster homes. She transitioned to the sector of social impact, philanthropy and non profit communications 3 years ago and currently sits on the national advisory board of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy as well as the steering committee for the Philadelphia EPIP chapter. Sharon's previous role as the Director of Community Relations with Generocity.org is where she began her career as a community engagement specialist and non profit communications expert. Having spoken as a keynote at The Pace Center at Princeton University, served as a panel guest in trainings for leaders in the Community Action program at Pace, The Ethical Society of Philadelphia, and as one of the hosts of the former public access program Philly Changer Chats for Generocity.org, Sharon's career has transformed into a helping and serving emerging leaders as they forge their own career paths. Sharon is an active cyclist and city dweller who enjoys movies, learning about cultures and hitting a good hiking trail when the weather is nice.
