Hello. I’m Sharon. I have extensive experience in Office Administration and live in Moscow Mills, MO. I am a fan of music, writing, and design. I’m also a huge fan of coffee, chocolate, boating and hiking. I'm looking for a virtual part time position where I can utilize my years of experience. My strengths are in customer service, problem resolution, effective communication, transcription, editing & proofreading. I have worked in the field of Business & Office Administration for 40 years and have been fascinated with automation & technology as it has advanced over the course of my career. I'm proud to say I have lived through so many advancements from word processors to laptops, from flip phones to smartphones and the list goes on.
I started in the insurance field and eventually found a better opportunity in Marketing. After a couple years I was promoted to be Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer when I realized I had strengths in problem solving, verbal & written communication.
After 9 years at Citicorp, I decided to switch gears by getting into the legal field because it sounded interesting. I started sending my resume to various lawyers and landed a position as a Legal Assistant.
After 5 years in the legal field, I was offered a sales position by a former acquaintance who owned a local franchise. I took the position and a few weeks later, she announced she was selling the franchise back to the corporate office and was recommending me for the Branch Manager position. It came with keys to the office, 15 employees, a company car, credit card & travel for training. So do I have your attention yet?
After 4 years of stress, I was ready to move on even though I had to give up the company car, paid travel and free housecleaning service.
Since all I have shared was done while raising children, I was finally ready to slow down a bit. That is when I entered the pest control world. Once again I was promoted to management and worked in this field for 11 years. The last couple of years I worked from home while caring for my father with Dementia. After a recent turn of events, here I am ready to start the next phase of my career.
