Sharonda L. Britton, leads Trade, Merchandising & Shopper Marketing for Harman International a Samsung Company. In this role she is responsible for the consumer brand JBL, and its presence on retailer shelves and online. This also includes customer marketing programs across Telco, Specialty and Large Format retailers. Prior to Harman Sharonda was briefly an executive retail advisor for The Mars Agency, focused on Walmart and consulting across multiple CPG brands. As Sr. Director of Sam’s Club, Sharonda led Member Services and Strategic Alliances, with a focus on growing membership acquisition and engagement.
Sharonda launched a very diverse career within the Consumer Packaged Goods Industry and is an industry expert in shopper marketing and shopper insights. Her creative ideas and digital shopper marketing platforms were recognized in Shopper Marketing magazine and shared during various industry conferences. Sharonda recently led Walmart’s multicultural efforts--a growing segment that is increasingly approaching $2 trillion in buying power. She has now transitioned into her new role within Sam’s Club focused on strategic partnerships.
Sharonda has been able to leverage her vast experience across general market and multicultural consumers using compelling insights to build campaigns, platforms, and strategic partnerships that celebrate Walmart’s diverse consumers. Sharonda’s hard work and perseverance led to her being named as one of Black Enterprise Magazine’s Top Women in Marketing, Ad Age’s Top 40 Under 40 and iMedia’s annual list of the Top 25 cutting-edge creatives, strategists, and technology innovators. Sharonda helped to launch the first Bentonville Film Festival focused on celebrating women and diversity and is a current member of the steering committee.
Sharonda is known for developing profound consumer and shopper insights that provide the foundation for developing creative strategy. In the past she has served on multiple boards to include Central Florida Urban League as the past Young Professional President, volunteering at local schools and more recently bringing national sponsorship platforms like Essence Festival and the NAACP Image Awards to the local community of Bentonville, AR.
