Sharonda Ransom is currently a Project Manager in Telecommunications at Nokia, where she has been employed for 15 years. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Woman’s University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics. When not working, Shar is fulfilled by community involvement. As a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. since 1993, she has participated in numerous programs in the community targeting areas such as health promotion, youth mentoring and education to name a few. She recently became a member of Jack and Jill, Inc.

Currently, she serves on the Carroll ISD District Advisory Committee (2015-2016 and 2016-2017 school years). She has served as the Assistant Director and Treasurer for Southlake Dragon Youth Cheer (2015-2016) and will continue as Treasurer in 2016-2017. Additionally, she is the Co-Chair for Southridge Lakes Barracudas Swim Team. She is active with the Walnut Grove Elementary School PTO as a volunteer in various capacities such as the book fair, spring fundraiser and Fall Festival. Most recently, she became a volunteer with Girls Embracing Mothers, whose primary focus is to empower girls in grades K-12 with mothers in prison to break the cycle of incarceration and lead successful lives with vision and purpose.

When not volunteering, Sharonda enjoys vacationing, hiking, working out, spending time with friends and family and fine arts.
