Sharon Geltner has won awards for newspaper reporting, publicity, corporate communications, videography and online media campaigns. She is a social media consultant at the Small Business Development Center at Palm Beach State College and founder of the interactive marketing firm, Froogle PR.

The New York Times quoted Geltner on Google AdWords and her clients have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, NBC Nightly News, MSNBC.com, Newsweek.com and Bank of America's "Small Business" website. One is a 2013 CNN Hero.

The Society of Professional Journalists and Upworthy recommended Geltner's video, "The Fat Lady Has Not Sung: Why the Internet Needs the News," re: how search engines rely on daily newspapers. She presented on a similar topic at the international conference of the Public Relations Society of America in Washington, D.C. Her journalism appreciation campaign, "Net Needs News Day," drew editorial cartoonists (including a 2009 Pulitzer Prize winner) to publish simultaneously on how new media needs old media. The prize-winning event was covered by The Altantic; E&P, etc.
