My personal blog on Wordpress is a confusion of ideas, thoughts, interests, hobbies, news items and sometimes just silly rambling on (and on, and on..). It started out as a diary/journal, but evolved into Bible-study notebook, a reading list, photos of things I love, family stuff, personal experiences and any old thing I fear I might forget. (Isn't blogging wonderful? Now I just have to remember my log-in details!!).

You will find I often express ideas that is totally out THERE....please note that I do not mean to offend anyone it is just that a girl HAS to have a place to have her say in her own way, don't you agree?

And here....just FYI....a brief ''history'' of this life:

Married since 1988, stay-at-home mom of 3, graduated cum laude from Calvary University, degree in Counselling, registered Holistic Counsellor. In addition to my practice I am the founder of an organization called ''The Ilze Halliday Foundation''. This foundation is an expression of the driving force behind my whole life....service. I believe that is what I was called for and becoming involved in the lives of the less privileged in the world is a means to fulfill my purpose on earth. I realize I will never save the world from poverty or disease...but that doesn't mean I shouldn't at least try!

Interested in psychology, parapsychology, psychic phenomena, religion, sociology, pathology
Read novels by Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Joe Hill, Jonathan Kellerman, Nelson De Mille, Robin Cooke, Henry Denker, Peter James, Isaac Asimov, Barbara Erskine, Robert Heinlein, Clive Barker, Tolkien, Shakespeare etc., etc.
Love horror movies (NOT slasher flicks, unless its Halloween!)
Fav actor is Harrison Ford (always and forever)
Fav movie is Amadeus (with the Lord of the Rings Trilogy at its heels)
Loves all music, especially classics by Wagner, Mozart, Verdi, Orff and Tschaikovsky. I'm also a HUGE fan of contemporary music....sounds from AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, The Corrs and (yes, you may giggle) Bette Middler and Gregorian chanting and millions more simply enthrall me...all music is wonderful...it is the rhythm of life.
Basically I'm just someone, living my life to the best of my abilities, enjoying each moment that God presents to me with passion and gratitude. Life is such a blessing, but we often forget that the hardships and c
