Dr. Sharon Hunt Gerardo is the founder and owner of Veterinary Infection Control Services (Vet-ICS). She earned her doctoral degree in veterinary medicine (DVM) and her master's degree in preventive veterinary medicine (MPVM) at the University of California at Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to her education and training in veterinary medicine, she received her PhD in Microbiology and Immunology at UCLA and worked many years as a research microbiologist in both private and academic institutions. Dr. Hunt Gerardo is active in the veterinary community. She is a board member and past-president of the Sacramento Valley Veterinary Medical Association (SVVMA). She also serves as the Chair for the California Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) House of Delegates.
