Born and raised in Jamaica, Sharon migrated to the United States in the late 1980s. She spent 10 years in Japan from 1991 to 2001. There, she taught English to children and adults. After leaving Japan, Sharon lived in the United Kingdom for three years. She now lives in New York City with her husband and their two cats, Phineas and Wiggles.
