I am a counsellor with a special interest in depression, anxiety and stress.

Deciding to have counselling can be daunting but is a positive, courageous step to take. Counselling is an opportunity for you to get in touch with the emotions and feelings underlying your depression or anxiety, to express and make sense of them, developing new ways of looking at yourself and the world.

One of the most powerful actions you can take is to understand the role of your thinking and how it can affect your mood. Learning to recognise negative thoughts means we can learn to dispute them and give ourselves a better chance of avoiding depression and anxiety.

You do not need to be in crisis to seek counselling. In fact it can be part of a wellness plan that helps avoid crisis and improve the quality of your life.
