Hello! My name is Sharon Spencer. I have been married for 21 years. I have a family of five. My children are two boys and one girl. They are ages 12, 13, and 19. I have taught Title I, E.I.P., 4th, 3rd, and 2nd grade regular education during my 23 years of teaching experience. I worked as a paraprofessional for half a school term in a kindergarten classroom before becoming a teacher. My student teaching was completed in a first grade classroom. I have taught 3rd and 5th grade in the afterschool program. I have also taught summer school. I have a great deal of teaching experience. I find that being a great role model for my students is rewarding. I love to inspire others to do their best. My aspirations for the future include being a scholar practitioner. I look forward to advancing my field of study which is Early Childhood Education at Walden University. I am looking forward to being an advocate of social change while earning my Specialist Degree. I wonder if my colleagues are as excited as I am about advancing their studies. Our blog pages will allow us to learn more about each other and collect resources from each other. My photo that I included is the only one I have left from my early years of life. I really cherish it because it allows me to have memories of my grandparents. Who were actually my parents because they raised me. My mom died when I was 5 months old. My grandmother had the picture and shoes developed into a neat shoe base and frame. This picture relates to my childhood development and relationship/attachment because I was properly cared for by my grandparents. I was a happy infant!
