Sharron Wheeler-Davies

Music and Portrait Photographer based in the UK. I graduated with a high 2:1 within fashion Photography at Southampton Solent University and have been working freelance for the last five years. I have had the oppotunity to photograph bands such as 'The Maine, Static jacks, The wombats, Here to earth, He is Legend and the upcoming band Nervada Rose' in 2013 i worked for Danny Clinch as a studio assistant and for Redux Pictures as a editorial assistant In the Big Apple we call NYC . I gained a lot of experience and had the oppotunity to work with photographers such as Dan Hallman for a Press Shoot with Ashton Kutcher and for Spencer Heyfron for an article for the Dec 2013 issue of Mens Health. Whilst exploring the States i also has the oppotunity to photograph the CMJ music Fesitval based at Tabacco Road just of 41st street NY. Meeting bands and taking images of their live performances for the website and social medias. From 2012- 2014 i have been working with an assiciation called Black Diamondz who run fashion and music events to raise awarness for current charities, recent charities where to help people who are suffering and recovering from eating disorders and to raise awareness on how eating disorders effect inderviduals mental and physical health. I have been interested in this topic for a long time, and on how people interpret images and how that effects their mental and physical health. I believe it is important for people to see positive images to raise body image and to help them to see that society isn't a catwalk model, but many sizes and to be comfortable with ones size aslong as they live a healthy lifestyle, with the checky treat now and again. I am currently myself on a lifestyle change and looking at fitness and healthy eating and hopefully promoting it that through my blogs, to bring support to other people. whilst working and developing and promoting myself as a photographer within the UK.
