I am the founder and principal of Marcom Gurus, a strategic marketing communications firm that was focused on creating and delivering programs that deliver revenue to the bottom line using marketing programming and brand communication. I have more than 30 years of marketing and sales experience with Knight-Ridder, The Learning Company, Time Warner, Atari, SuccessFactors, At&T/Interwise, Cisco/WebEx, and others.
She has been recognized as an out-of-the box thinker with numerous awards for her marketing programs including a regional Clio and recognition for Ad Age’s “Product Launch of the Year”. She started Marcom Gurus in 2000 after being on her second IPO team with Docent, now Sum-Total Systems.
For over twenty years, I have been creating and managing revenue-generating web seminar programs- including live conference events - with major media hubs such as MediaLive, Chief Learning Officer magazine, TriMax Direct, WorkplaceXpert.com, PresentationXpert, and others. As a consultant, I also created and produced the Cisco Guru Series, an internal just-in-time webinar program. Her team has delivered over 1500+ live events to audiences worldwide. She is an author and speaker on “Using Web Seminars for Lead Generation and Revenue” and has coached organizations on how to create marketing programs utilizing both webcast and podcast technologies.
Under her leadership, Marcom Gurus has also developed senior level executive conferences on site in New York, Las Vegas and in Europe which have utilized technology to increase attendance, build communities and expand the reach of the content to online attendees.
I also spent ten years on the Penn State University Alumni Association board for the College of Communications and as president of the Advertising and PR Alumni Network Association as well. During myr tenure, the board was given an award for the creation and publication of The Collegian Chronicles which celebrated 100 years of the Penn State Daily Collegian newspaper.
