Shaswat Kumar Das is a materials scientist and the founder of Green Tech Concrete and Research, a research lab based in Bhubaneswar, India. He is currently a researcher at BUILDERS École d'ingénieurs and at GeM, CNRS, France. Previously, he served at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture, University of Ryukyus (Ryudai), Japan, as a Japanese Government Scholar. Das's research focuses on the development of sustainable materials, particularly in supplementary cementitious materials, geopolymers, alkali-activated materials, and thermodynamic calculations of cement hydration. He also specializes in waste utilization, cement-surfactant interactions, hazardous material characterization, and extractive metallurgy. His work is dedicated to advancing eco-friendly solutions in materials science and environmental remediation, with significant contributions to sustainable construction practices and the promotion of circular economy principles globally.
