Shaun O'Neil

Shaun joined Crutes as a trainee solicitor in 1991, qualified in 1994 and was appointed as a partner in 2002. As a member of the public services team, Shaun acts for local authorities and several leading insurance companies in complex and high value public liability, employer's liability and road traffic claims.

In addition, Shaun deals with simialr claims for eductaion establishments, police authorities, private companies and other public bodies, such as probation services.

Shaun is also a member of the health, safety & regulatory team. He was involved in the successful defence of Barrow Borough Council, when the authority was acquitted of seven counts of manslaughter arising from the outbreak of legionnaires' disease. Shaun is a member of the Association of Local Authority Risk Managers and has been appointed to a national Sector Focus Team (SFT) with the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL).
