Shaun Bennet Wilson

At the tender age of seven, Shaun’s active imagination led her to accidentally lock herself in the dryer while pretending to be an unfortunate peasant who had refused the affections of an evil king. The castle guards, in their enthusiastic hatred, had closed the dungeon/dryer door a bit too eagerly and there she stayed, trapped for three hours until she was finally able to escape. Luckily, her mother could never figure out how one could break a dryer from the inside out, so punishment was avoided and an actress was born.
After attending a performing arts high school in Kansas City, Mo., her hometown, Shaun succumbed to the lure of theatre and bought a one-way ticket to New York. After studying at AMDA, she went up to Toronto to produce and direct Savage In Limbo with a school friend. Shaun has continued to act alongside directing, writing and producing and feels most comfortable in the company of collaborative artists. Her dream is to one day run a theatre company that mentors young actors and to feed them home-cooked meals every now and then. Until that day, she hopes to work as often as possible in great projects surrounded by great people. “But what is she like?” you ask. Well...she has the sensual calm of Kerry Washington, the mercurial ferocity of Cate Blanchett, and the snarky wit of Tina Fey. You should meet her!
