After many years of being chained to a chair and desk, working in a high-stress, fast-paced, 24x7 IT environment compounded by numerous other stressors, I recognized my own mental and physical health was becoming jeopardized. It was time to reassess my priorities and my first step was to issue a full STOP. Ambitious and with a fear of failing, this was one of the hardest decisions to make. Fortunately, it turned into one of the best decisions I ever made!!

Many years ago I left behind an interest of kinesiology to pursue other interests and goals. As I awakened from my mental fog, I realized that this was where my interest really was and, although not regretful for my first path, I decided to explore my true interests. But now it wasn't just about human kinetics, it was also about wellness, mental AND physical health, fitness and nutrition. With new goals in mind, I revisited my long-lost passion and began aggressively studying. Now armed with an honours diploma in Health, Fitness and Nutrition and certified as a Personal Trainer, I am blazing a new path of helping others discover the benefits of good mental and physical health by becoming stronger, fitter and happier. The learning isn't over as I continue with nutrition, functional movement and other related areas of interest!

I have always been active through a variety of sports, track, running and Martial Arts. In 2014 I am participating in several local races, the Tamarack Ottawa 1/2 Marathon and I am looking forward to earning my green headband (and a beer) at the Toronto Tough Mudder event. In September 2013, a fantastic team of ladies and I conquered the Toronto Tough Mudder earning our orange headbands (and a beer) and a few weeks later I achieved my PB time in the Run Waterloo's "Oktoberfest" 10KM race. When not training for a specific event, I keep physically active by running, participating in group fitness classes, attending CrossFit classes and chasing after two young children.

Let's get started on your goals!
