Shawn Walker

I am an Assistant Professor in Social and Behavioral Sciences at Arizona State University . I study new forms of political participation emerging from social media and how we make decisions with social media data. I received my PhD in Information Science from the University of Washington and have a BA in International Studies, and a Masters in Liberal Studies, with a focus on public policy and technology, from Northern Kentucky University.

I am a member of the retroV research group and the Social Media (SoMe) Lab at the University of Washington.

I also enjoy photography, hiking with my dog, and baking killer vegan cupcakes.
