Shawna Chen is a third year Ph.D. student, graduate research assistant, and instructor at Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. Her research interests primarily focus on the process of opportunity identification and strategies for entrepreneurial action in all four corners of the world.

Prior to pursuing a Ph.D. degree in management, Shawna was an Internet entrepreneur turned consultant in cross-border financing for clients in aerospace, commodity, energy, hospitality, retail, and technology industries.
