Shawn Blankenship

I'm Shawn Blankenship, a Family Nurse Practitioner based in Charleston, West Virginia. My journey into healthcare started after serving in the U.S. Navy, where I learned the value of discipline, service, and trust—principles that continue to guide my work today. I grew up in a single-parent household, which shaped my resilience and desire to help others. I earned my nursing degree from St. Mary’s Nursing School, where I served as class president and graduated with honors. I went on to complete further training at Marshall University and the Chamberlain School of Nursing, graduating with distinction as an FNP in 2015. In 2018, I founded Holistic Medical Services and Counseling to bring medical and behavioral health under one roof. I believe in treating the whole person—not just their symptoms—with compassion and purpose. Outside of my practice, I enjoy golf, running, real estate investing, and spending time with my wife, Julie, and our daughter, Clara. My mission is simple: show up, serve well, and lead with humility.
