Shawn Dickinson is an MA candidate in Classical Studies at the University of Waterloo. His primary research interest is the development of Christianity in Late Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages with a focus on magic, heresy, and religious texts, especially in Ethiopia. He also has great interest in digital history, specifically, manuscript digitization, textual analysis, and database applications. Some of his ongoing projects include Manuscriptus: Codex, a program for manuscript corpus preparation and analysis, AncientKeys, a bookmarklet for viewing and typing ancient languages, and a YouTube channel with educational videos pertaining to Ethiopian Christianity.
