I manage social media for companies who don't want to and advise those that do want to how to do it better. I write books--debut novel Couple Friends set to be released August 2012--and for magazines, newspapers, and businesses that need copy. I love words of all shapes and sizes and tame them into submission to create social media nuggets, marketing materials, and anything else that requires words (like this page!). I'm also a learning junkie and find myself talking a webinar, attending a seminar, or scouring intelligent blogs daily, which fits my new interest perfectly: the world of live event correspondence. And yes, you should hire me to cover your next event :)

Off-duty, I love trying new craft beers (St. Bernardus Abt 12 is one of my favorites), traveling (Ireland is next on my must-see list), reading (mostly women's fiction like I write, but also devour historical fiction, nonfiction, and literary fiction), doing something athletic like mud runs or volleyball (I played middle in college), or checking out live music (acoustic and alternative rock preferrably).
