Shawn Harmon
Shawn is a 20 year veteran of the United States Navy, where he served as a Fire Controlman specializing in Tomahawk Weapon Control System. During his time, he maintained specialy in Tomahawk while also gaining experience in Earlier versions of what eventually became Global Command Control System-Maritime (GCCS-M), two courses on support and maintenance of C4I systems from Afloat Training Group, Atlantic, and also a 3 year tour as a computer support specialist that included formal training in both Windows NT 4.0 in the Enterprise and Novel Netware 4.11 maintenance and administration. Training in Networking Essentials and Windows 95 was also included in that. Service in the Navy taught systematic troubleshooting procedures, learning to read and interpret system prints and diagrams, and proper use of electronic test equipment. Years of following Naval Maintenance procedures has resulted in a respect to keep equipment properly maintained and running at top efficiency. Naval training also includes other training such as many sessions of leadership training, proper scheduling of maintenance, and workplace management of personnel. Shawn Retired in September 2009 and has since been pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Networking at Strayer University in Virginia Beach, VA. Shawn is currently seeking employment in an appropriately tech related job in either the IT field, or in installation and maintenance.
