Shawn McClure
Software Engineer, Photographer, and Space Lord in Fort Collins, Colorado
I'm a software engineer who designs and manages databases, develops websites, creates interactive online tools, builds reusable software libraries, architects large client/server applications, and wrangles vast amounts of complex data into usable form for a wide variety of large businesses, universities, and government agencies. I have degrees in computer science and mathematics and have been developing real-world software since I bought my first Commodore 64 in 1982.
One of my primary hobbies is digital photography. I take photographs of anything that catches my interest and post many of them online. I photograph a broad range of subjects, but I enjoy macro, landscape, and wildlife photography the most. Any proceeds from my photo sales are donated to various animal charities or used to upgrade my camera gear from time to time.
I also write poetry, essays, philosophy, fiction, and other assorted flim-flam from time to time, some of which I also share online in select venues.
