Shawn Morey

Shawn Morey was born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA. He was exposed to construction and architecture early on through his father and grandfather. His initial strive for success began as he jumped into his education straight out of high school by first obtaining his Associates Degree in Architecture and Drafting at Santa Barbara City College while being employed at a local architecture firm, Zimmerman Architects, where he developed a passion for real estate development. As a drafter, he was able to analyze the industry from all angles and finally settled on the financing area of the sector. Shawn then relocated to study Business Finance with an emphasis in Real Estate at Woodbury University, in Burbank CA.

While still in his under graduate program, Shawn took the opportunity to learn the real estate industry first hand by taking a position at the nation’s largest commercial real estate firm, Marcus and Millichap. Working closely with one of the senior brokers, he was able to see all aspects of a deal, and how to analyze the deal from all angles.

Exposed to the infamous nightlife of Los Angeles, Morey’s career driven mentality developed a niche for nightlife entertainment and the opportunities it presented from the business side. As the first of many entrepreneurial ventures, Shawn founded a nightlife group, Paid to Play Media Group. As CEO he still oversees all operations including: promotion, management, and marketing.

Through this company, Shawn has been able to expand his expertise into the nightlife industry. In association with Paid To Play’s consulting division he has launched an educational series for young entrepreneurs interested in a career in nightlife, and also consulting for nightclubs and restaurants.

Shawn is also leading the startup of the real estate development, property management and investment company in hopes of bringing another dimension to the already diverse group of start-ups that he has participated in.

Shawn’s future goals include attending the Masters in Real Estate Development program at USC. Some other future projects include developing and securing financing for a line of party/limo buses and nightclub venues.
