Shawn P. Conroy

I am a programmer/analyst who has worked for the Canadian Forces since Jan 2009 on a number of projects, working with, for and supervising people of a variety of skill sets, positions and technical fluency.

As a developer have designed and developed, alone or part of a team, applications ranging from courseware to administration tools or curriculum building aids with an emphasis on web delivery of rich content.

I also researched, tested and deployed systems for education and training. I've worked with 3D environments such as Open Simulator, Second Life and VBS Worlds. We have also looked into mobile solutions for application management and touched on app development.

Finally as a developer/analyst, I work on a team configuring, written plugins and deploying internal communication, collaboration and social networking applications, including Jive, Status.Net, Elgg and a suite of other applications and tools, including using LDAP authentication for Active Directory.

I've also been involved with working with contractors, civilians, co-op students and YMCA interns. Several times a year I've taken part in the hiring process evaluating a number of potential candidate and either alone or as a member of a committee selecting among the candidates who to hire. I have orientated, trained, mentored, supervised, co-ordinated and assessed other employees.
