Shawn Scheffler

Shawn Scheffler has taught for over 20 years and in that time has learned the needs of a successful children's ministry and garnered the knowledge to write, "The Essentials." Shawn believes that what God expects and children need are ministers and leaders whom God has called and qualified, even though all your attributes are important, offer God your inability to perform anything without his help. Shawn has served as Children's Pastor in his local church since 1993 and is currently the Director of Student Ministries at Opened Door Christian Fellowship in Laurie, Missouri. He has been the Director of multiple Children’s Camps and Vacation Bible Schools. He has also worked in retail for the last 20 years. He has an extensive background in retail management which has helped fine tune his people skills.
