Shawntae Harris

I am currently enrolled at Ryerson University for journalism. I lived in Toronto my whole life, which is why I chose to come to Ryerson. My interests include reading and writing about entertainment stories. At the age of 14, I really became intrested in reading when I came across "The Host" by Stephaine Meyer. That sparked my interest in novels and made me think what type of writer I wanted to be. My future dream job would be working as an entertainment reporter and covering all the breaking news. Many people have interests like sports and music, however what made me choose a future in journalism are my hobbies lilke watching the news and sharing my opinion on certain matters. I come from a family of six, which I believe is one of the reasons I am so ambitious and makes me want to go after my dreams.
