Shaykh Hamza Abdul Malick

Shaykh Hamza Abdul Malick is the Founder and Director of the Essence of Light Foundation, based in Canada. He has dedicated over 10 years to the study of Islamic theology, Holdinga Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Studieswhich includes the memorization of the Qur’an and the completion of the six authentic books after the Holy Qur’an. His journey of seeking knowledge has taken him through Malawi, South Africa, and Mauritania, and he continues to pursue this noble path to this day.

Shaykh Hamza has been teaching Islamic education for more than a decade, sharing his knowledge with students of all backgrounds and Shaykh has 7 years experience in Imamat. He is fluent in Arabic and can communicate in seven languages, which enriches his teaching and outreach.

Beyond his scholarly pursuits, Shaykh Hamza is passionate about soccer, reading, and education. He also enjoys exploring creativity through graphic designand playing volleyball.
